As a torturer, Alois primarily uses his own life force to cause incredible amounts of pain via a set of long, aetheric, burning thorn-like tendrils which extend from his heart.The thorns do not cause physical damage but leave harmless aetheric brands that look like burns. They are easily removable by simple healing magic, such as a cure spell.

Hi! My name is Jack (he/him), I'm 31 years old and have been writing for ~14 years.I am a huge fan of horror and enjoy writing themes that are dark and mature (horror, crime, fighting). But also themes that are light and fun.
Keeping that balance is very important to me in order to keep everyone sane and healthy.I love to occasionally inject a bit of comedy into my writing and I don't take my own characters too seriously in order to keep things entertaining for everyone involved.
BOUNDARIES
For several reasons including OOC maturity, and the fact that I like to write dark themes as well, I do prefer to write with people closer to my age, but I set a general limit at 21+.
If you're on the younger side, please don't take offense to this, it's simply a boundary I have due to personal experience with writing partners.If we're writing together, please keep in mind at all times that myself and my character are separate entities. I am not them, they are not me, and anything my character says or does to your character is not a reflection of my opinions or what I think of you.Conversely, if my character gets a little flirty with your character, this is not a reflection of my interest in you! That's not something I'm here for, period.I don't want to write with warriors of light or anything lore-breaking. No shade to you if that's your thing, just something I'm not interested in.
ALOIS IS AWFUL DISCLAIMER
RPing with such a narcissistic and unpleasant character can be exhausting, I understand if you need to take a break or stop the RP completely. He takes great pleasure in making other people uncomfortable and pushing their boundaries but I do not, so if something Alois is doing that you Do Not Like, tell me. I will immediately stop.If manipulation or narcissistic abuse is a trigger for you, I don't recommend interacting with Alois. I have much kinder characters if you'd prefer to play with them.

Comfort
Communicating with each other OOC is very important to me! I like my RP partners to be comfortable at all times.If you are ever feeling any kind of discomfort for any reason at all during our RP at any time, be it at the beginning, middle or end of a scene, let me know.
If you want a scene to stop, let me know.
If you'd like my character to stop doing something, let me know.
If you want to stop RPing with my character period, or even communicating with me OOC at all, let me know.I respect your boundaries as a player and won't take any offense, period.
Others' OOC comfort is more important to me than the scene, my character, or writing at all.This goes both ways! I'll be sure to let you know if I ain't feeling good OOC.Fights and touching
Ask before throwing a weapon or a fist in my dude's direction. I'll almost surely be absolutely fine with it, but ask permission first. I'm also fine with discussing some heavily bodily injury.
Torture, if it ever comes to that in a scene, we will have to have a long talk about OOC first!Please ask if your character wants to get handsy in any way. I'll most likely be fine with it, just don't grope the guy without asking if I'm ok with that first (just like how you'd ask someone irl!)No character death please! Both ways. First of all, nothing gets Alois off more than denying someone else the pleasure of sleeping with him.Also I'm not down for just writing random sex scenes, that isn't my thing. I don't get off to writing about my characters fucking.
That being said, Alois is a hedonist who uses sex as a method of manipulation, information gathering, control and narcissistic supply, so if something unfolds naturally, then so be it. But it absolutely has to be discussed first.Romantic relationships are off the table, though, because Alois will never love anyone nearly as much as he loves himself.Other than that, random flirting is fine, you don't have to ask about that. Alois can be flirtatious but it doesn't necessarily mean anything or have to go anywhere at all.Once again, if this makes you uncomfy please tell me and I'll have him shut up.
OOC =/= IC but we still both have control of our characters at all times.

Before his exile from House Haillenarte he was known as an obnoxious, lazy, arrogant prick who'd step on anyone literally or metaphorically if it meant he could have influence or power. A stain on his hard working house. Voidsent If you are a voidsent, can see voidsent, or have a voidsent, you will know that Alois is not alone. Business Alois, in his lifetime, has been a diplomat in several cities including Kugane, Garlemald, Radz-at-Han and Ul'dah. Nobility If your character is from any of the high houses of Ishgard, specifically Haillenarte, they may have heard of him. Drugs He loves them! He might buy some from you. Maybe they can smoke together.
